THE WOMEN BEHIND GENERATIONS OF RUTH, LLC
Where do we begin?! Generations Of Ruth, LLC started as many small businesses do - a hobby! Leah was a travel nurse who traveled just as much for leisure as she did for work. In a quest to better capture memories of her adventures she purchased her first DSLR, and she has spent the last year or so teaching herself how to capture life's most exciting memories.
A LITTLE BACK STORY....
Leah and Olivia are sisters who grew up cherishing family photos. They would spend hours with their dad flipping through hundreds of pages of old photo albums and staring deeply into images of people whom we will never meet in this life. Oh the stories and joy that surrounded these trips down memory lane! These moments touched us in a special way and birthed a deep appreciation for photographs and the meaning behind them.
With the increase in cellphone photography, we realized that NO ONE was taking "real" pictures anymore. Physical photo albums seemed to become obsolete around age 17. Decades of memories were captured solely on non-backed up cellphone just waiting to self destruct erasing treasured memories forever. No one was taking annual family photos, and - with the exception of Weddings - events were taking place without one professional photo. We knew this had to change. In January 2020 Generations Of Ruth, LLC was born from the desire to provide affordable, high quality images for EVERYONE. We strongly believe that everyone deserves to have their picture taken!!
WHY RUTH?
Leah, Olivia & Jessica all have a maternal grandmother named Ruth! Crazy right?! And both our grandmothers were know for their creativity and willingness to share that creativity with the people they loved. We are honored to continue a legacy of creativity through photography. We honor their memories in the name of our business, and we hope they are smiling on us from heaven.

Leah, Olivia & Jessica are a unique, dynamic trio that compliment each other in the best way!! All of these young women were born & raised in Raleigh, NC. They strive to provide EXCELLENT customer service and deliver the HIGHEST level of detail and professionalism to each and every client!
Leah
Owner/Lead Photographer
Leah has been a nurse for 10 years (...and counting)! She has a long time passion for helping others and has the highest of standards for herself and those with whom she works. She has always been big on family. She is adamant about documenting life and the people she loves on every occasion. This family value, along with her impeccable knack for creativity and a strong work ethic, is what prompted her to start Generations of Ruth! She wants to ensure her clients have a resource that will provide incomparable service at the same standard she would expect for herself.
Olivia
Business & Booking Manager
Olivia shares her sister's strong family values and work ethic. She is also very meticulous in nature and has a knack for organizing. With an avid enthusiasm for excellent customer service, she strives to identify ways to make every client experience as seamless and efficient as possible. She has a husband, Alex, a BONUS son, Julian, and the newest member of her family, Elijah! Growing up with a strong nuclear (and extended) family, and now having a family of her own, has made it crucial to capture and create memories to pass down to future generations.

Jessica is extremely organized and ensures that every person that comes in contact with Generations Of Ruth, LLC has a great experience. Her goal is to make everyone feel like family. Her drive in helping other achieve their vision is unmatched. Jessica is married to Trey and is the mother of two amazing sons - Jalen and Jaleel. Fun Fact! Jessica and Leah met in Kindergarden some 20+ years ago and have been inseparable ever since.
